How we handle your data, in line with UAE data protection law.

This Privacy Policy explains how NeatAccounts, a product of Omega CST (“NeatAccounts”, “we”, “us”), handles personal data when you use our website and our cloud accounting service (the “Service”). We keep it plain on purpose. We handle personal data in line with the UAE Personal Data Protection Law (Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021) and its guidance.

1. Who we are

NeatAccounts is operated by Omega CST, registered in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, with offices in the UAE and India. For any privacy question, contact us at support@neataccounts.com.

2. The data we collect

  • Account details: your name, business name, email, phone and role when you sign up or book a demo.
  • Billing details: the information needed to process your subscription. Card payments are handled by our payment provider; we do not store full card numbers.
  • Your business data: the records you enter into the Service, such as customers, suppliers, invoices and staff details. Some of this may include personal data about your own contacts and employees, which you control.
  • Usage and device data: how you use the Service and website, plus basic technical details like IP address and browser, mainly to keep things secure and working.

3. How we use your data

  • To provide, run and support the Service.
  • To set up your account, process your subscription and send service messages.
  • To keep the Service secure and prevent misuse.
  • To improve our product and, where you agree, to send you helpful updates. You can opt out of marketing at any time.
  • To meet our legal and tax obligations.

4. Our legal basis

We process personal data to perform our contract with you, to meet legal obligations, for our legitimate interest in running and improving the Service safely, and, where required, with your consent. You can withdraw consent for optional things like marketing at any time.

5. Your business data and your role

For the records you enter into the Service, you decide what to collect and why, and we process it on your behalf to provide the Service. You are responsible for having a proper basis to hold the personal data you put into NeatAccounts, and for telling your own contacts and staff how you use it.

6. When we share data

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only where needed:

  • With trusted providers who help us run the Service, such as secure hosting, our payment processor and, for e-invoicing, an accredited service provider connected to the UAE network.
  • Within the Omega group in the UAE and India, to deliver and support the Service.
  • Where the law requires it, or to protect our rights, users or the Service.

Anyone who handles data for us is bound to keep it confidential and to use it only for the purpose we agree.

7. International transfers

Some of our team and providers are outside the UAE, including in India. Where personal data moves outside the UAE, we put appropriate safeguards in place so it stays protected to the standard required by UAE law.

8. How we keep data safe

We use technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, including encryption in transit, access controls so staff only see what they need, and regular backups. No system is perfectly secure, but we take security seriously and review it regularly.

9. How long we keep data

We keep account and billing data for as long as you are a customer and for a reasonable period afterwards to meet legal and tax requirements. If your subscription ends, we keep your business data for a limited period (normally 30 days) so you can export or reactivate, then remove it from active systems, with backups cleared on our normal cycle.

10. Your rights

Under UAE data protection law you can ask to access, correct or delete your personal data, object to or restrict certain processing, withdraw consent, and receive a copy of data you gave us. To make a request, email support@neataccounts.com and we will respond within the time the law allows. If you are a contact or employee of one of our customers, please contact that business first, as they control that data.

11. Cookies

Our website uses a small number of cookies to make the site work, remember your choices and understand how the site is used so we can improve it. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

12. Children

NeatAccounts is a business tool and is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our Service and the law change. If we make an important change, we will let you know, and the “last updated” date above will change.
